Introduction: The prevalence of coronavirus and the formation of its mutant species has caused stress and anxiety in communities. Fear and anxiety caused by coronavirus are destructive and can lead to mental disorders in people. The aim of this study was to predict corona stress based on coping strategies with stress, quality of life and psychological well-being among nurses in Kermanshah.
Methods: The method of this research was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population consisted of all nurses in Kermanshah in April 1400. A total of 200 people were selected as a statistical sample by voluntary sampling through online response to questionnaires. In this study, Corona stress scale (Salimi et al., 1399), stress coping strategies questionnaire (Lazarus and Folkman, 1998), short version of the World Health Organization quality of life questionnaire (2004) and psychological well-being scale (Reef, 1989) were used. . Data analysis was performed using multivariate regression simultaneously with the help of SPSS-22 software.
Results: The correlation results showed that stress has a positive relationship with emotion-oriented coping strategy and a negative relationship with problem-oriented coping strategy, quality of life and psychological well-being. The results of regression analysis showed that the strongest predictor of corona stress was emotion-oriented coping with Beta = 0.854, and yet all variables had a significant share in the regression equation.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the application of problem-oriented coping strategy and high quality of life and psychological well-being can be associated with a reduction in coronary stress. Therefore, by using strategies and interventions focused on increasing the levels of quality of life and psychological well-being, steps can be taken to reduce nurses' stress
