Introduction: One of the factors affecting organizational success is human resource who works beyond their official duties. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the necessary context for implementation of such behaviors.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of occupational stress on organizational citizenship behavior with moderating role of organizational support of nurses of Imam Ali Hospital in Bojnourd.
Material & Methods: This study was a correlational descriptive study. The  sample of this study was 200 nurses of Imam Ali Hospital in Bojnourd that  According to Cochran's formula, 132 people were selected by random sampling method Standard questionnaires were used to collect data. For Occupational stress variable, as independent variable, the Spealburger model, 1991, has three physical, psychological and environmental components and organizational citizenship behavior variable as an associated variable was used by Organ and Konovsky model, 1996, which has five types of self-esteem, conscience, chivalry, civic, and literate behavior. Also, organizational support variable as a moderator variable is considered from Eisenberger et al., 1986 model. Validity of the questionnaires were verified by confirmatory factor analysis and content validity and its  reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha (for all variables more than 0.7). The research hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling and using Smart-pls software.
Results: The results showed that occupational stress with t-value of 2.99 affects organizational citizenship behavior with coefficient (0.441), and organizational support has moderating role in the relationship between occupational stress and organizational citizenship behavior. Also, physical, environmental and psychological factors affect organizational citizenship behavior and organizational support modifies the impact of physical and psychological factors on organizational citizenship behavior (with coefficient 0.233 & 0.251).
Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that organizational support modifies the relationship between occupational stress factors and organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, management of Imam Ali hospital in Bojnourd can increase the status of organizational citizenship behavior among its staff and nurses by supporting its employees and nurses in the face of occupational stress and can decrease undesirable consequence of stress.
