style="font-family:" times=""><b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt">Methods:</span></b> <span lang="EN" style="font-size:12.0pt">This study was a clinical trial in two non-parallel groups, first the data of the case method was collected and after the implementation of the necessary preparations for the primary nursing method, the study population was 45 people from the families of patients admitted to the ward.</span> <span lang="EN" style="font-size:12.0pt">Special care for adults.</span> <span lang="EN" style="font-size:12.0pt">The tools of data collection were demographic characteristics and family satisfaction questionnaire of patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of 24FS-ICU.</span> <span lang="EN" style="font-size:12.0pt">The collected data was analyzed with SPSS version 25 and independent t-test.</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt"></span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt">Results:</span></b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt"> Based on the findings, the demographic characteristics patients families did not have a statistically significant difference during the implementation of the two methods (p>0.05). Also, the average score of satisfaction of the families of hospitalized patients in the two case methods (22.1&plusmn;57.91) and primary nursing (82.75&plusmn;13.73) had a significant difference (p=0.0001).</span></span></span></span><br> <span style="font-size:10pt"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span new="" roman="" style="font-family:" times=""><b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt">Conclusion:</span></b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt"> Based on the findings, the provision of nursing care in the primary nursing method increased the satisfaction of the hospitalized patient&#39;s family compared to case nursing in the special care department.
