Investigating the Impact of Mobile Workplace Stress on the Employee Innovative Behavior of with Regard to Mediation Work Engagement and Work-Family Conflict (Case Study: Employees of Kausar Hospital in Semnan)

Objective: Mobile technology has blurred the boundaries between work and family, making work easier than ever in the family life of the average employee, leading to work-family conflict. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of mobile workplace stress on the employee innovative behavior of with regard to the mediation of work engagement and work-family conflict among the employees of Kausar Hospital in Semnan.
Method: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of how to collect information. The statistical population of the research is the doctors and nurses of Kausar Hospital in Semnan. Based on simple random sampling, 215 questionnaires were distributed and research data were analyzed using SPSS and Smart-PLS software. To measure the variables of the research, Schaufeli et al., (2006) work engagement questionnaire, Kanter et al., (1998) employee innovative behavior, Netemeyer work-family conflict (1996) and Bang and Tak (2016) mobile workplace stress were used.
Results: The results showed that the mobile workplace stress has a significant effect on the employee innovative behavior, work engagement and work-family conflict. Work engagement and work-family conflict has a significant effect on the employee innovative behavior. Work-family conflict has a significant effect on work engagement. In addition, work engagement mediates the effect of mobile workplace stress on employee innovative behavior, and work-family conflict mediates the relationship between mobile workplace stress and employee innovative behavior.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that the mobile workplace stress can cause job burnout due to increasing time and taking energy from the employees and have a negative effect on work engagement. Also, by intensifying work-family conflict, reduce the innovative behavior of doctors and nurses.
