Abstract

Introduction: Nurses’ perception about the received services’
quality as an internal customer is an important factor in shaping their customer orientation; that is patient-oriented behaviors (patient-
centered care).
Aim: This study was done to assessing the effect of internal
customer services quality on nurses’ (customer) patient-orientation behaviors (patient-centered care).
Method: The study was a survey study that investigated in 2016; and 132 nurses in a general hospital in Bushehr selected. For data gathering in nurses’ perception about received services from managers the 25 item questionnaire of Reynoso & Moores (2003) used. For measuring job satisfaction, Questionnaire of Greenhaus et al (1990) and for assessing (customer) patient -
oriented behavior (patient-centered care), a 12 item questionnaire of Saxe et al (1982) were used. Their reliability was above the 0.7 and 0.8 that they measured by Alpha Cronbach’s test. And data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling with partial least square.
Results: Among the dimensions of nurses’ perceived internal services quality, only two dimension of communication and
reliability haven’t positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Also, it was found that job satisfaction affects the nurses’
patient-orientation (customer orientation) significantly as a mediator variable.
Conclusion: Results show that providing the quality services for nurses by nurse managers not only increases their satisfaction, but also increase their patient-oriented behaviors (patient-centered care).

Background  : Pregnancy is one of the most important and influential periods of a mother's life. The physical health and mental state of the mother have a significant impact on the growth and development of the fetus and the future health of the mother and child. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Stuart Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy on reducing mental weakness and emotional self-regulation of pregnant women in the obstetrics and neonatal ward of Imam Sajjad Hospital in Tabriz in the corona epidemic.
Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test with a control group. The statistical population of this project is pregnant mothers referring to the specialized gynecology and obstetrics clinic of Imam Sajjad Hospital in Tabriz during the third quarter of 1399. From a statistical population of 160 people, at least 24 pregnant women under 30 weeks of gestation were selected by purposive sampling and divided into two groups of experiments and control by lot. The first group was selected as the experimental group and the second group as the control group and answered the Mental Impairment Questionnaire (seventh scale of the MMPI questionnaire) and the Emotional Self-Regulation Questionnaire (Garnfsky et al., 2001). The reliability coefficient of the MMPI questionnaire was 0.84 and that Garanovsky et al. Mentioned good validity and validity for this scale. The alpha coefficient for the subscales of this questionnaire has been reported by Granfski et al. In the range of 0.71 to 0.81. Analysis of covariance was used to analyze the research data using SPSS software version 24.
Results : The results showed that family therapy has a significant effect on reducing the feeling of mental weakness in pregnant women (significance level 0.01). Also, family therapy sessions training has a positive effect on emotional self-regulation of pregnant women and Stewart cognitive-behavioral family therapy has an effect on the components of emotional self-regulation of pregnant women (significance level 0.01).

Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in and one of the foremost factors behind the death of women worldwide. Hence, early diagnosis and intervention increase the probability of recovery and reduce the mortality rate. This study examined the effect of written exposure therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction on managing pain and mental adjustment in women with breast cancer.
Methods: Sixty females with breast cancer referred to the Shahid Rajaei Hospital in Babolsar, Iran were randomly assigned to one of the three WET (n = 20), MBSR (n = 20) or control (n = 20) groups. WET is a 5-session low-intensity exposure-based intervention for treating PTSD. MBSR is a systematic educational program during an 8-week period. The control group had no additional contact. Measures assessing managing pain and mental adjustment were administered at baseline, post-intervention, and 2-month follow-up.

Results: Both the WET and MBSR groups achieved significant improvement in managing pain and mental adjustment with statistically significant differences between groups. However, However, no significant difference was reported between the effectiveness of the interventions used in the present study on pain management and adaptation to cancer in breast cancer patients.
Conclusion: Both WET and MBSR appear to have beneficial effects in in increasing pain management and psychological adjustment in breast cancer patients in Iran. Therefore, experts, researchers and therapists in this field can use these interventions as effective treatment options based on research evidence to improve the psychological functions of breast cancer patients along with their medical treatments and, accordingly, health indicators.

Results: The MiCBT intervention significantly reduced health anxiety and death obsession scale scores at posttreatment and the gains were maintained at 2-month follow-up (p < 0.0001).
Conclusion: The results support the effectiveness of MiCBT in creating rapid and sustainable reduction of health anxiety and death obsession in Patients with COVID-19. These promising results support the feasibility and acceptability implementation of this intervention in patients with COVID-19 in Iran.

Abstract

Introduction: Nursing jobs have a stressful and turbulent nature, so that nurses have to provide medical and care services in environments with very high patient density and limited facilities. These difficult conditions lead to high levels of stress and anxiety among this hardworking class.
Aim: Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of self-compassion training on psychological capital, job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion in nurses.
Material & Methods: This research was experimental and semi-experimental using the pre-test-post-test method with a control group. The statistical population of the research included the nurses of Razi Qaemshahr Hospital in 2024. Among these people, 30 people were selected using a targeted method and then they were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. Data were collected using Luthans Psychological Capital Questionnaire (2007) (PCQ), Minnesota Job Satisfaction (1977) (MSQ) and emotional exhaustion by Chen et al. (2019). Compassion-based approach protocol was planned and implemented based on Gilbert's treatment plan. Then, the data were analyzed using multivariate and univariate covariance methods in SPSS-26 software.
Results: The results showed that all dependent variables include psychological capital (P<0.05, F (25,1) 105.17), job satisfaction
(P< 0.05, F=64.38 (25, 1) and emotional fatigue (P< 0.05, F = 427.56) (25, 1) have become significant in the post-test stage. Therefore, teaching self-compassion was effective on psychological capital, job satisfaction and emotional exhaustion in nurses.
Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that nurses can take a step towards taking care of moral and human values and principles by cultivating the spirit of self-compassion within them. This helps them to understand and accept their problems and failures, look at them from a kind and empathetic point of view and try to improve and grow. Also, teaching self-compassion not only has a positive effect on the psychological capital of nurses, but can also lead to an increase in job satisfaction and a decrease in their emotional exhaustion.
