Introduction: Organizational culture has a vital role in its sustaining or death. In regarding relationship between new strategies with organizational culture, it is necessary organizational culture completely well known.
Aim: This study was done for assessing organizational culture and their desirability in hospitals based on Denison Model along (2012-2013).
Method and Material: This cross sectional study was done in four hospitals in Mashhad and Nishabour proveniences that (194) employees who had at least two years experiences were selected simple along (2012-2013) randomly. Data gathered by Denison Organizational Culture questioner (2000) that had four kinds of cultures participative, adaptive, coping and missioning. Reliability was done by test – re test and correlations' of them were between (0.648--- 0.923) ranges. Data were analyzed in MANOVA and Tukey statistical tests by SPSS17
.
Results: finding showed that dominant organizational culture (4 hospitals) was missioning. T test showed the level of organizational culture desirability was average in four hospitals (2.8 > mean > 1.6).Also, MANOVA test showed that hospitals in two cities had not differ significantly (Willk's Lambda (4,189) =0.62, P=0.649>0.05(.
Conclusion: it would be suggested hospital managers try to promotion their organizational cultures to participative culture.
