Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
Introduction
Faslname-i mudiriyyat-e parastari” is committed to conducting all editorial and publication processes in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and international standards of transparency and best practice in scholarly publishing. This statement sets out the ethical responsibilities of authors, reviewers, the editor–in–chief, and the editorial board, and guides how the journal handles complaints, conflicts of interest, and research misconduct.
1- Commitment to Publication Ethics
The journal is committed to:
Following COPE guidelines and flowcharts when dealing with potential misconduct.
Making its policies on peer review, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, corrections and retractions, and complaints handling transparent on the journal website.
Maintaining editorial independence and impartiality at all stages of the review and publication process
2- Authors’ Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:
The work is original, has not been previously published in full, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
Data and results are reported honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation.
All sources are properly cited and any form of plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is avoided.
Any funding sources or institutional support are clearly acknowledged.
For studies involving humans or animals, approval from an ethics committee and procedures for informed consent are reported; and clinical trials are registered in a recognized registry with the registration number stated in the manuscript.
3- Authorship & Contributorship
Authorship is limited to those who:
Have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the work;
Have drafted the manuscript or revised it critically for important intellectual content;
Have approved the final version and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
Individuals who have contributed in a more limited way (e.g. data collection assistance, administrative or financial support) should be acknowledged but not listed as authors. Disputes about authorship order or inclusion should be resolved by the authors and their institutions, not by the journal.
4- Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editorial board members must disclose any financial, academic, professional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence their judgment. When no conflicts exist, a statement such as “The authors declare no conflicts of interest” should be included in the manuscript.
5- Plagiarism and Similarity Check
The journal uses plagiarism-detection software to assess the originality of submitted manuscripts. In cases of excessive similarity or suspected plagiarism, authors will be asked for an explanation; serious cases may result in rejection of the manuscript or, if already published, in appropriate corrections or retractions in line with COPE guidelines.
6- Data, Confidentiality & Reproducibility
Authors are expected to retain the primary data underlying their research for a reasonable period after publication and, when feasible and ethically acceptable, to indicate how anonymized data may be accessed by other researchers (e.g., in a “Data Availability” statement). Identifiable personal information must remain confidential and only aggregated or anonymized data should be reported.
7- Peer Review
Nursing Management Journal operates a double-blind peer-review system, unless otherwise stated on the website.
Reviewers are expected to:
Evaluate manuscripts fairly, scientifically, and confidentially within the agreed time;
Refrain from using any data or ideas from the manuscript for personal advantage prior to publication;
Declare any conflicts of interest and decline review when a serious conflict exists;
Provide respectful, evidence-based, and constructive feedback to improve the quality of the work.
8- Editorial Responsibilities
The editor-in-chief and editorial board:
Base decisions to accept or reject manuscripts solely on scientific quality, originality, significance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Avoid any discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.
Delegate editorial decisions to another editor when they have a conflict of interest with a submission.
Investigate allegations of misconduct impartially and, when necessary, refer cases to appropriate institutional or national bodies.
9- Complaints & Appeals
Authors, reviewers, and readers may submit complaints or appeals in writing via the journal’s official email address. Complaints regarding the review process, unreasonable delays, or ethical concerns will be carefully investigated, and a documented response will be provided within a reasonable timeframe.
10- Misconduct, Corrections & Retractions
When research misconduct is suspected or confirmed (e.g., data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or redundant publication):
The manuscript may be rejected at any stage of review;
If already published, appropriate actions such as issuing a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction will be taken.
All actions will follow COPE recommendations and will be communicated transparently on the journal website
11- Open Access, Copyright & Licensing
Nursing Management Journal is an open-access journal; full-text articles are freely available to readers without charge. The journal’s copyright and licensing policy (for example: © The Author(s); Creative Commons license [insert chosen license type]) is clearly stated on the website and within each published article.

Generative AI tools must not be listed as an author, because such tools are unable to assume responsibility for the submitted content or manage copyright and licensing agreements. Authorship requires taking accountability for content, consenting to publication via a publishing agreement, and giving contractual assurances about the integrity of the work, among other principles. These are uniquely human responsibilities that cannot be undertaken by Generative AI tools.
Authors must clearly acknowledge within the article any use of Generative AI tools through a statement which includes: the full name of the tool used (with version number), how it was used, and the reason for use. For article submissions, this statement must be included in the Methods or Acknowledgments section. Authors must disclose their intent to employ Generative AI tools at the earliest possible stage to their editorial contacts for approval – either at the proposal phase if known, or if necessary, during the manuscript writing phase. If approved, the author must then include the statement in the preface or introduction of the manuscript. This level of transparency ensures that editors can assess whether Generative AI tools have been used and whether they have been used responsibly. Taylor & Francis will retain its discretion over publication of the work, to ensure that integrity and guidelines have been upheld.
If an author is intending to use an AI tool, they should ensure that the tool is appropriate and robust for their proposed use, and that the terms applicable to such tool provide sufficient safeguards and protections, for example around intellectual property rights, confidentiality and security.
Authors should not submit manuscripts where Generative AI tools have been used in ways that replace core researcher and author responsibilities, for example:
- text or code generation without rigorous revision
- synthetic data generation to substitute missing data without robust methodology
- generation of any types of content which is inaccurate including abstracts or supplemental materials
These types of cases may be subject to editorial investigation.
Faslname-I Modyriat Parstari currently does not permit the use of Generative AI in the creation and manipulation of images and figures, or original research data for use in our publications. The term “images and figures” includes pictures, charts, data tables, medical imagery, snippets of images, computer code, and formulas. The term “manipulation” includes augmenting, concealing, moving, removing, or introducing a specific feature within an image or figure.
