The Effectiveness of resilience training program on improving nursesʼ quality of life

Introduction: Nursing job is intolerable and full of stress and it has many challenges. So; these impact on nurses quality of life. Therefore; it is important that nurse managers promote and maintenance quality of life of nurses and their resilience.
Aim: The aim of study was to assess the effectiveness of resilience training on improving nursesʼ quality of life.
Method: This study was a quasi-experimental with two granps (exferimental and control) that data gathered pre-post and one month after intervention. The population were all nurses at one of the hospital in Tehran who were volunteer to participate in this study. Nurses who had include criteria selected (32) and then allocated in two groups; experimental (17) and control (15)
 randomly. Before intervention, pre-test was taken in both groups. The experimental group attended in weekly 2 hours,10
sessions for resilience training and control group remained with no
training. Quality of life in both groups were assessed before and after intervention and also 4 weeks after intervention with WHO quality of life questionnaire. Data were analysed by version of SPSS23 and descriptive statistics, ANOVA and MANCOVA.
Results: the results showed that significant difference between groups in pre and post-test and after one month follow up in quality of life (p<0/05). That is confirm the effectiveness of
resilience training in quality of life for nurses. These results
 remain till 4 weeks after termination of training.
Conclusion: Nurse managers would be use this resilient training program for improving nursesʼ quality of life. The training program for this study would be a functional guide for educational supervisors.
