Management commitment to organizational values from nursess view point: case study

Introduction: Since Namazi Hospital, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, change in different aspects of management has set its own agenda and because the nursing profession more prone to conflicts of value so, assessing values of the organization from nurses' view point, is essential.
Aim: The aim of this study was assessing the level management commitment to organizational values from nurses' view point who worked in Namazi Hospital in Shiraz in 2014.
Method and Material: This cross-sectional study was assessed (200) nurses' view point who worked in Namazi hospital in in 2014 in Shiraz. They were selected proportional stratified randomly. That is number of nurses based on sum of staff in units were selected randomly. Data gathered by valid and reliable (α chronbach =0.82) questionnaire that had two parts demographic data and (55) questions about organizational values in four domains (vision management, values transfer management, value, confidence management and self- management).Data analyzed in SPSS16 by descriptive and Pearson regression test.
Results: findings showed that the mean of management commitment to organizational values in vision management, values transfer management, value, confidence management and self- management was in order 3.26, 2.96, 3.22 and 3.79. And in total the mean of management commitment to organizational values was in-appropriate (2.97).
Conclusion: it would be suggested in-service education doing for managers in this hospital considerably for improving their performances in domain "values transfer management" to staff. |
