Introduction: Causal organizational citizenship behavior has positive effects that can have on the exploitation of the work environment, it is also one of the dark aspects. In this regard, the present study examines the dark effect of organizational citizenship behavior on procrastination with the mediation of role burden and exclusion at work and gender education among nurses.

Methodology: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of how to collect
Information. The statistical population of the researcher includes doctors and nurses of Kausar Semnan Hospital. Based on simple random sampling, 215 questionnaires were distributed and using SPSS26 and SMART-PLS3 software, data analysis methods were used. Organ and Kanofsky's organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire (1989), Badie et al.'s procrastination (1389), Reilly's role overload (1982) and Faris et al.'s (2008) workplace ostracism were used to measure the research.
Findings: The results showed that the dark side of organizational citizenship behavior has a positive and significant effect on the importance of an important role. Also, the importance of the role has a positive and significant effect on procrastination. Role overload mediates the relationship between the dark side of organizational citizenship behavior and procrastination. Gender moderates the relationship between the dark side of organizational citizenship behavior and role burdensomeness. Also, the relationship between the dark side of organizational citizenship behavior and rejection at the workplace was negative and significant, which is a rejection of the research hypothesis. No significant relationship was observed between the changes of rejection at work and procrastination. Gender does not moderate the relationship between the dark side of organizational citizenship behavior on procrastination and exclusion in the workplace.
Conclusion: citizenship behavior can become role burden through increasing workload and thus affect procrastination. Also, since women are more involved in organizational citizenship behaviors, the workload for them is more than men and they play an important role.
